Advice and support for consumers in Medway is provided by the Citizens Advice Consumer Service (CACS), part of the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Advice given for CACS

CACS give clear, practical advice to help consumers sort out problems and disagreements with suppliers of goods or services.

This includes:

  • being charged to much
  • faulty goods
  • poor workmanship
  • reporting dishonest traders and scams.

They also have trained advisers who are ready to offer individual solutions for individual problems.

How they work

CACS works with local council trading standards advice services and consumer support networks. They give first level advice and information on a wide range of consumer problems.

Possible criminal offences are referred to Trading Standards.
