National GO Award
In March 2014 our Category Management Team won the Highly Commended Award for 'Innovation or Initiative' in the Non Health Organisations category.

CIPS Awards
We were shortlisted in August 2014 for 2 CIPS Awards in the following categories:

A CIPS Supply Management Award is the most prestigious recognition an organisation in the procurement profession can get and we are delighted to have been considered by CIPS for these awards.
CIPS Corporate Ethics
We have achieved CIPS Corporate Ethics status and been listed on the Ethical Register for taking proactive steps to safeguard against unethical conduct in procurement.
This means the officers in the Category Management Team who select and manage suppliers are trained in ethical sourcing and supplier management.
Pre-qualification questionnaire
We work hard to make it easier for suppliers to do business with Medway Council and as part of this, we have signed up to PAS91 for construction projects.
PAS91 is a pre-qualification questionnaire which has been developed to reduce the need for suppliers to complete a variety of questionnaires for different, and in some cases, the same clients.
