Summer Reading Challenge – July to September

The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays. Children aged 4 to 12 years can sign up at their local library, then read six library books of their choice to complete the Challenge. There are exclusive rewards to collect along the way, and it’s free to take part.

Teen Reading Challenge

Reading challenge for 13 to 16 year olds during the Summer Holidays. Complete the challenge by reading 6 books to be entered into a prize draw for some great prizes. Ask in your local Medway library for more details.

Rewarding Reading

Rewarding Reading is a reading challenge open to anybody over 16 years, take part in the challenge to read 6 books over the summer for the chance to enter a prize draw for some fantastic rewards. Ask in your local Medway library for more details.

Reading ahead – January to June

One in six adults find it hard to read. Reading Ahead is a reading challenge to encourage everyone to try something new and discover that reading can be a pleasure in the process. The challenge is to read up to six books between January and June, and runs at Gillingham, Rochester and Wigmore libraries.
