Staff care
We understand that working in children’s social care is both rewarding and challenging.
We're committed to supporting our staff and promoting a healthy work-life balance. This includes offering flexible working arrangements and the option to work from home when possible.
We regularly share messages of support and have several corporate initiatives focused on staff well-being.
We provide workshops on secondary trauma to acknowledge and address the impact of our work.
All staff have full access to Care First, an excellent resource offering:
- counselling
- online materials
- a well-being app.
We value the diversity of our workforce and are actively working to ensure equality of opportunity. We have various staff support groups, including:
- LGBTQIA+
- Disabled Workers and Carers Network
- Neurodiverse Group
- Menopause Support.
We are developing support for our Black and Global Majority Group.
As part of the Workforce Race Equality Standards, we aim to celebrate diversity within our workforce and will be implementing the full action plan in 2025.
