Artists Wendy Daws and Christopher Sacre co-founded MESS ROOM. They are based at Sun Pier House in Chatham.
MESS ROOM specialises in supporting people who are:
deaf or hard of hearing
blind and visually impaired.
MESS ROOM helps people express themselves creatively using a combination of inclusive activities and communication methods, including British Sign Language (BSL).
MESS ROOM's Gillingham POW! commission
MESS ROOM collected photos of Gillingham people to create Shadow Tales: A Gallery of You. MESS ROOM's outdoor gallery celebrated the people who walk, drive, shop, skip, dance, sing and cartwheel through the high street.
