Support provided under Section 20
As a child in need, we can provide you with a range of services, including:
- advice and guidance
- support to develop independence
- a medical assessment
- support in accessing education and employment options
- financial assistance
- accommodation.
Reviewing your support
Your child in need plan will be reviewed at 3 months, and then 6 months after.
Your social worker will visit at least once a week for the first 4 weeks. They will then visit once every 6 weeks after that.
An education planning meeting called a PEP will take place once a term with you and your education provider or employer has been completed.
