Floral tributes at Rochester Castle Gardens

The Mayor of Medway, Cllr Jan Aldous, visited Rochester Castle Gardens yesterday (19 Sep) to look at all the floral tributes which were left for Her Majesty The Queen.

The flowers will be removed today (20 Sep) and composted to plant a memory tree. More information about the tree will be announced in due course.

Cllr Aldous, said: "I would like to thank residents across Medway who took the time to lay flowers in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It was lovely to read the heartfelt tributes left with the flowers and I look forward to the planting of a special memorial tree, in due course."
