Residents have settled in at brand-new homes as part of a £6million housing development programme in Twydall.
Over the last two years Medway Council has built 28 new council houses for rent in the area which includes nine one-bedroom bungalows in Woodchurch Crescent and 19 two-bedroom homes in Bapchild Close and Eastcourt Lane.
On Tuesday, 21 March a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the properties in Bapchild Close.
Continuing to provide affordable homes for residents
Deputy Leader of Medway Council and Portfolio Holder for Housing, Cllr Howard Doe, said: “We are committed to continuing to provide affordable housing for Medway residents and these developments are testament to that. I am pleased that we have built accessible bungalows as well as new family homes. I am pleased residents have now moved in, and I wish them all the best as they settle into their new homes.”
The council is due to start building more affordable homes in Twydall and Gillingham later this year.
