Has a member of our staff or a team gone above and beyond to help you?
Maybe they have helped you or a loved one get the support they need, or helped an elderly relative fill out an application form, answered a query or supported you in some other way. If so, here is your chance to thank them by nominating them for a Make a Difference Employee Recognition Award.
The Make a Difference Awards celebrate the successes and the hard work and commitment of those working for Medway Council.
There are 10 categories which individuals or teams can be nominated for:
- Apprentice of the Year Award
- Community Support Award
- Customer Service Award
- Employee of the Year Award
- Innovation and Bright Idea Award
- Making a Difference to our Customers’ Lives Award
- Manager of the Year Award
- Partnerships Award
- Team of the year Award
- Unsung Hero/es Award
We are encouraging members of the public, as well as employees, to nominate staff who have gone above and beyond to help them throughout the last year. There is no limit to the number of nominations you can make and you can nominate the same person or team for more than one award category.
The closing date for nominations is Friday, 30 June.
The shortlisted staff members will be invited to a sponsored recognition event which is due to take place later in the year. The overall category winners will be announced at the event.
Richard Hicks, who is currently Medway Council’s Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Place, and takes on the role of Chief Executive next month, said: “Medway Council staff are responsible for so many amazing services for Medway residents and provide much needed advice and support all year round. Many council staff often go above and beyond, and the Make a Difference Awards give senior managers, councillors, stakeholders and residents the opportunity to thank them for the positive difference they make in our communities. If you have been supported by a particular council employee or team, please do make a nomination for the Make a Difference Awards; we would be delighted to hear from you.”
