Residents and businesses are being invited to have their say on a new design code for Chatham.
This code will provide a collection of design principles for the area, which could include things like specifying local building materials, maximum heights of buildings or deciding the layout of streets. Creating a design code will help ensure a sustainable future for the design of new buildings and spaces around Chatham’s town centre and assist in meeting the aim of the highest quality of regeneration. The code will also clearly set out what is expected of developers.
Residents can have their say until 11.59pm on Wednesday, 5 July.
We are particularly keen to hear from those who live, work, visit or study in Chatham.
