Works to refurbish Stoke Bridge are due to take place next month.

We will be replacing the waterproofing layer and resurfacing the whole bridge. The works are due to begin on Monday, 24 July and are anticipated to take around two months to complete.

To enable the works to be carried out safely, one lane of the bridge will be closed at all times and temporary traffic lights will be in place.

Towards the end of the works, anticipated to be around mid-September, the whole bridge will need to be closed and traffic will be diverted over the old level crossing. We would like to thank Network Rail for allowing us to use the old crossing so the works can be carried out safely.

We have sent letters to residents and businesses in the area to inform them of the works.
