Works to improve Luton Road are due to take place next week.
The works are due to begin on Monday, 24 July and are anticipated to take around two weeks to complete. To enable the works to be carried out safely Luton High Street and Luton Road will be closed to through traffic.
Luton High Street will be closed for its entire length and Luton Road will be closed from Upper Luton Road to Castle Road.
Diversions will be in place and resident and pedestrian access will be maintained where possible.
The improvement works include the installation of speed humps, bus stop improvements, footway resurfacing and road marking and traffic sign improvements.
We have sent letters to residents and businesses in the area to inform them of the works.
