Explore the great outdoors at a free family festival at one of Medway’s award-winning country parks next month.

Surrounded by 114 hectares of woodlands and green space, celebrate the beauty of nature, learn about traditional crafts and sample locally-made food and drink at Wild About Capstone on Sunday, 24 September.

There will be fun for all the family including kite flying, walking trails, bug hunts and craft activities visitors can also meet the Capstone alpacas and longhorn cattle, and a wellbeing corner with mindfulness activities.

Wild About Capstone will take place between 11am and 3pm, on Sunday, 24 September at the southern end of Capstone Farm Country Park, next to the Orchard car park. Residents are also encouraged to use the main car park.

Fantastic family-friendly event

Cllr Simon Curry, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Climate Change and Strategic Regeneration, covering Greenspaces, said: “Wild About Capstone is a fantastic family-friendly event at one of our spectacular award-winning country parks. There will be plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy and we look forward to seeing you there.”

Wild About Capstone also supports the council’s aspiration to become even more child-friendly.
