The full agenda can be viewed when booking your ticket, where you will also be able to select which sessions you want to attend.

Showcase Medway's diverse business community

Cllr Lauren Edwards, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration and Inward Investment, said: “I am looking forward to the first ever Medway Business and Skills Showcase event. Medway has an economy worth £5.9billion, and we have more than 14,000 businesses here and we are committed to supporting all of them as best as we can. This event is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Medway’s diverse business community and for business owners across Medway to learn new skills, network with each other, promote their business and find out about the range of support on offer.”

Ahead of the event, design art students at MidKent College were challenged to create a logo for the Medway Business & Skills Showcase.

Students were mentored by Clockwork Moggy, a Rochester-based marketing agency, to help create their entries. Megan Mackenzie’s design was judged to be the winning design, and she was presented with a certificate by Cllr Lauren Edwards.

So many talented students

Cllr Edwards commented: “The logo looks fantastic, and I would like to congratulate Megan once again for her winning design. It is really important that we give young local people the opportunity to take part in events like this and showcase their talent. There are so many talented students studying across Medway, and I want to thank all of the students at MidKent College who took part in this competition.”

Enjoyable project

On receiving her award, Megan said: “It has been such an enjoyable project to get stuck into and be involved in the whole process. To have my logo chosen to be the face of this new event is fantastic for me, and I’ve learnt so much from this experience. Now I can’t wait to see it displayed on all of the promotional materials, and at the event itself.”

Spaces are limited. Find out more about the event and book your ticket.
