Following the success of the recent Love Gillingham event, we are creating a new community panel to help draft a vision for the town centre.
Medway Council has commissioned an independent not-for-profit organisation, Design Southeast, to run a new co-creation project with Gillingham’s residents and businesses to understand:
- What do you value in your town centre?
- What changes would you like to see?
We're looking to recruit up of 40 people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to reflect the town’s population.
Recruitment is now underway for the panel, which will meet over the coming months to help unlock the potential and improve the quality of Gillingham town centre to make it a more vibrant and enjoyable place. The input of the panel will help develop the vision and draft Gillingham Town Centre Action Plan which will identify a clear vision for the transformation of the area over the coming years.
The panel is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Gillingham, or those who visit the area regularly. Applications are open until 11.59pm on Sunday, 22 September via our short online form . Paper copies are also available from Gillingham Library and Community Hub.
