Today (Monday, 3 March) is National Offer Day, where families across Medway will find out which secondary school their child has been offered for September 2025.

Our School Admissions Team has processed secondary school applications from a total of 4,596 children, including 898 children from outside Medway.

Of the 3,698 Medway children offered places, more than 96 per cent have been offered a place at one of their preferred secondary schools.

Parents and carers have the opportunity to submit their child’s application online, using a quick and simple form, and this year 99 per cent of families used the online process to submit their preferences.

Milestone event

Cllr Tracy Coombs, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Education, said: “National Offer Day is a milestone event for children and their families – marking the next step of their educational journey. There is an excellent range of secondary schools in Medway for families to choose from, and it is great news that 96 per cent have been offered a place at one of their preferred schools. The admissions process is a huge piece of work and I would like to express my thanks to everyone who plays their role in it.”

Very best of luck

Cllr Adam Price, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services, said: “This is such an important time in every child’s life, filled with excitement and probably tinged with a touch of nervousness, but I want to reassure you that this next step is full of opportunities. I want to wish the very best of luck to every single child who will be starting secondary school in Medway this September.”
