Due to a planned upgrade of Medway’s Library Management System, Spydus, on Wednesday 22 April, several library services will be temporarily unavailable to customers.
This will include:
- The Spydus Public Website
- The Spydus Library app.
- Libby, BorrowBox and PressReader will be unavailable on either the app or browser.
- Encyclopaedia Britannica, Access to Research, Oxford Bibliographies, The Oxford English Dictionary, will be unavailable if accessed from a non-library PC or other device.
Library public computers will remain accessible and library staff will be able to offer a limited range of services, including loans and returns of books.
Access to eLibrary resources (Libby, BorrowBox, Encyclopaedia Britannica etc.) will be suspended at 9pm on Tuesday 21 April and access to the Spydus Public Website will be suspended at 6am on Wednesday 22 April 2026. It is hoped access to all services will be restored by the end of the day on Wednesday 22 April.
