Solar Together Kent is a group buying scheme to get solar panels for your home or small business at a competitive price. We have partnered with Kent County Council for the third year to promote this scheme.
Register for Solar Together
A new phase of Solar Together will open at the end of August 2023.
Solar panels can help you to:
- save money on energy bills
- reduce your carbon footprint.
You can also choose to install:
- battery storage to help use generated electricity
- an electric vehicle charging point.
The Solar Together scheme will:
- help you through the process
- keep you informed at every stage
- offer you savings on the installation of solar panels for your home or small business.
Any homeowner, landlord or small business can register. Applications are limited to 50 solar panels per property.
If you already have solar panels installed, you can apply for battery storage to maximise the benefits of your existing solar panel installation.
There are 5 steps in Solar Together Kent's scheme:
Step 1: Registration
Registration is quick, free and there's no obligation.
To complete registration, you will need to give some information about your roof, such as:
Step 2: Auction
An auction of pre-vetted installers bid to offer the best deal.
The most competitive offer from these installers will win the auction to complete the work.
Step 3: Personal recommendation
You will be contacted with a personal recommendation.
This will be based on the specifications of your roof. Your recommendation will include the costs and specification of your solar panel installation.
Step 4: Decision
Once you have your recommendation, it is up to you to decide if you would like to go ahead with the installation.
If you choose to accept your recommendation, the supplier will contact you to carry out a survey of your roof.
They will set an installation date with you.
Step 5: Savings on electricity
After installation you will begin to save money by generating your own renewable electricity.
