Join thousands of others runners, joggers and walkers for the 11th annual Medway Mile.
The 11th annual Medway Mile will take place on Friday 20 July 2018.
It's a great chance to get active and with so many different events and activities taking place during the day, there really is something for everyone.
The Medway Mile is a free, mass participation action-packed event.
This year's Medway Mile offers:
- a mass mile
- free sports
- fun activities
- a competitive adult race
- children’s races
- live entertainment
- fireworks finale
This event is supported by the A Better Medway team and will form part of the Medway 20 celebrations marking 20 years of Medway as a unitary authority.
Medway Mile pre-registration has now closed at 3,300 people: you can now no longer pre-register for t-shirt collection.
You are very welcome to come along on the evening and access the free activities on offer.
- 5pm: Gates and activities open
- 5.30pm: Children’s races
- 6.30pm: Mascot Race
- 7pm: Competitive adult race
- 7.30pm: Mass warm up
- 7.45pm: Mass Medway Mile
- 8.45pm: Live entertainment
- 9.30pm: Fireworks Finale

Medway Mile Elite Race
This unofficial race will test the speed of athletes, and we are looking for male sub-7 minute athletes and female sub-9 minute athletes to enter the race.
You can enter if you are 16 or over. Although the race is largely aimed at club athletes, it is also open to experienced non-club runners.
