If you've received a letter from us asking you to confirm your property is still empty, you can complete our online empty property review form.

If you have not received a letter, but need to tell us about a change, you can change your Council Tax details online.

We may issue a penalty fine of £70 under Schedule 3 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 if you give false information during your online review.

What you'll need

To complete your online review, you must tell us if the property status has changed.

If the property is still unfurnished and unoccupied, you'll need to tell us your:

  • contact details
  • current address
  • relationship to the property.

If the property is now occupied, you'll need to tell us the:

  • contact information for the tenant or new owner (including names and tenancy start dates)
  • occupier contact information
  • landlord or agent information (if the property is rented).

What happens next

We'll send you an email to let you know we've received your review. 

Your review will then be processed. If there are any changes or we need more information, we'll contact you within 20 working days.
