Automated telephone follow up service

Medequip and Medway Council are trialling an automated telephone service with a company called CC2i to follow up anyone who has had loaned equipment prescribed by the NHS or social care.

If you have received equipment on loan, you'll get an automated phone call in around 1 weeks time and then at 3 month intervals. This is to check your equipment is working perfectly and that you still need it.

The phone call will come from 01634 983 432 and will introduce itself as a telephone call from The Medway Community Equipment Loan Service. It will then run through a series of questions related to the equipment you have on loan.

If you miss the call

The system will leave a voicemail or answer phone message with the option to call back to complete the questions. Where a mobile number is registered, it will also send a text message with a link to complete the survey online.

Return call charge

Return calls are charged at local rate, usually included in free calls on mobile plans.

If you're hard of hearing

The system will send a text message if the call is missed or answered but not completed. The call can also go to a next of kin or nominated person. Please provide your healthcare professional this information so that the most appropriate number can be registered on the system.
