Neighbourhood plans under development in Medway

Cliffe and Cliffe Woods Neighbourhood Plan

Cliffe and Cliffe Woods Parish Council have submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to Medway Council to progress to examination and referendum. The plan covers the parish of Cliffe and Cliffe Woods and sets out:

  • the vision for the parish by 2037
  • policies for sustainable development of the area.

The consultation runs until 6pm on Friday 20 May 2022 by:

Comments will be presented to an independent examiner, appointed to examine the draft neighbourhood plan and consider any changes to the draft plan.

Frindsbury Extra Neighbourhood Area Designation

Frindsbury Extra Parish Council applied to Medway Council to designate the parish as a neighbourhood area to prepare a neighbourhood plan.

The designation of a neighbourhood area covering the parish of Frindsbury Extra has now been confirmed.

Arches (Chatham) Neighbourhood Plan

Arches (Chatham) applied to Medway Council to start preparing a neighbourhood plan by applying for designation of a neighbourhood forum and neighbourhood area.

Following a 6-week public consultation during July and August 2019, both items were approved at the Cabinet meeting on 6 August 2019.

Arches (Chatham) Neighbourhood Planning Forum held a formal Regulation 14 Consultation period which ran from 26 February 2021 to 7 May 2021.

The group have begun their Regulation 14 Consultation for their draft neighbourhood plan.

Hoo St Werburgh and Chattenden Neighbourhood Plan

The parish of Hoo St Werburg was designated as a neighbourhood area at the December 2018 Cabinet meeting.

Hoo St Werburgh and Chattenden Neighbourhood Plan group is working towards a Regulation 14 consultation.

High Halstow Neighbourhood Plan

The parish of High Halstow was designated as a neighbourhood area at our Cabinet meeting on 12 June 2018

High Halstow Parish Council have carried out a Regulation 14 consultation on its draft plan and associated design code.
