Housing strategy to 2030 consultation

We consulted on our housing strategy to 2030. Our strategy includes:

  • how we're going to increase the number of affordable homes in Medway
  • how we're going to improve housing standards
  • ways we're going to ensure Medway Council tenants have a say
  • how to help people stay independently living in their own homes.

The survey closed on Sunday 4 February 2024.

Tenancy agreement consultation

Under Section 102 and 103, Part 4 of the Housing Act 1985, we ran a formal consultation with our tenants about changes we're making to our tenancy agreement.

The consultation gave Medway Council tenants the opportunity to view the updated tenancy agreement and make any comments.

As part of the consultation, we also included a draft of a new Tenant’s Handbook which will work alongside the Tenancy Agreement.

We also included a 'Good Neighbour Agreement' to be trialled in our blocks of flats.
