Gritting icy roads
During wintery weather we grit Medway’s roads and provide convenient grit bins throughout the area.
We grit major roads, bus routes and danger spots during winter. If severe ice is expected or snow has fallen, other roads beyond the main routes are salted on a priority basis.

Request road gritting and report salt bin issues
While we try and grit major roads in Medway, you can also request for roads to be gritted or salt bins to be refilled, replaced or relocated.
