When you can use a bus pass

Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates

During the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak you’ll be able to use the pass all day including before 9am.

Start time update

From 1 September your bus pass will return to the 9.00am Monday to Friday start time.

This is to make sure there is enough room on buses for children returning to school.

You can continue to use your bus pass at all times during the weekends and bank holidays.

Kent County Council areas will return to the 9.30am start time on the same date.

If you change your name, or your address within the Medway Council area, your bus pass still remains valid and you can continue to use it until the expiry date.

When you renew your pass you can tell us about your change of name or address, and will need to provide proof of the change, for example by providing a marriage certificate for name change. These details will then be used for your new bus pass.
