Every year we recruit a number of canvassers to assist with updating the electoral register.
Canvassers visit households across Medway during October and November to deliver voter registration forms and help residents complete the forms if required.
Canvassers must have:
- a flexible approach and be willing to work during evenings and weekends
- good communication skills and the ability to relate to people
- awareness of, and sensitivity to, cultural diversity
- the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- a professional and politically neutral manner
Canvassers will be required to attend training and keep in regular contact with their supervisor.
