Strood Sports Centre

The hydrotherapy pool at Strood is currently closed until further notice.

The steam room at Strood is now closed, and moving forward the centre will offer a sauna option only.

Two new saunas will be installed within the dryside changing rooms from July 2026. There will be temporary closure of these changing rooms whilst works are carried out.

Wetside changing rooms are due to be refurbished in Autumn 2026.

Hoo Sports Centre

We're currently redeveloping Hoo Sports Centre. Improvements include:

  • improving and extending the functional gym area
  • bringing in new fitness equipment.
  • refurbishment of wetside changing rooms (summer holidays 2026).

The Hoo Sports Centre squash court is now closed. You can still play squash at Strood Sports Centre (1 court) and Medway Park Sports Centre (3 courts).

During any building works, intermittent closures of wetside changing rooms, studio and functional space will be announced on site.
