The Disability Youth Games 2023 to 2024
Medway Schools
The Disability Youth Games (DYG) is a funded series available to all Medway special schools and units.
Each competition is available to children from year 5 to year 9.
Kent Schools
The series is also available to special schools and units based outside of Medway for a small entry fee.
2023 to 2024 events programme
DYG Swimming - term 3
This annual event is held at Strood Sports Centre and offers a fun swim gala for participants to swim in a safe and encouraging environment.

DYG Football - term 4
This annual event is held at Strood Sports Centre and offers a structured tournament for teams to play matches as well as enjoy football-based games.

DYG Skiing - term 5
This annual event is held at Chatham Ski and Snowboard Centre.
It offers an opportunity for participants to learn new skills and take part in skill level awards on the day.

DYG Summer Games - term 6
This annual event is based at Medway Park and offers an opportunity for schools to take part in taster sessions of several sports in one day including (all sports are subject to change on the day):
- athletic
- boccia
- kwik cricket
- wheelchair

- archery.
