The Medway Joint Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Strategy is a 3-year strategy. It sets out the joint vision across health, education and council services for children and young people aged 0 to 25 years who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families.
The current strategy is coming to an end. We are pleased to let you know that the draft for the new strategy for 2022 to 2025 is available for consultation.
What it is
It’s an ambitious improvement plan, with high expectations for all children and young people with SEND in Medway.
The plan proposes 5 strategic ambitions. These ambitions were co-produced with parents, carers and young people. Under each ambition there are actions that will drive the priorities forward over the next 3 years.
Who it's for
This new SEND strategy is not just for the local council. It is for all partners in Medway to adopt, support and contribute to.
Only by working together will we achieve the best outcomes for our children and young people with SEND and their families. Therefore, we are keen to listen to your views and make sure the strategy addresses all the current needs and priorities.
