Partners for Growth (PFG)

PFG is a Medway Council scheme. It provides grants for small-to-medium enterprise (SME) businesses in Medway that are looking to take their growth to the next stage.

The scheme is available to Medway residents who are:

  • thinking of setting up a business
  • looking to further grow their business
  • looking to make their business more environmentally sustainable.

Low Carbon Across the South-East (LoCASE)

This scheme is provided by Kent County Council (KCC) and offers funding between £1,000 and £10,000 for carbon reduction and increase in sustainability for businesses in the environmental and sustainability sector.

A small or medium sized enterprise (SME) and registered in the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP). 

The business must offer goods or services that improves the environment and can be considered to lower the environmental impact of their customers or work as part of the supply chair for other businesses who do work around the environment.

Start UP Loan - Creative England

This scheme is offered by Creative England and offers low-interest personal loans up to £25,000. 

The scheme includes free mentoring to help you start or grow a new business.

Aged 18 and over and starting a new business or been trading for up to 36 months. 

The business must be based in the UK and have a recent turnover of £300,000 and one year of accounts filed at Companies House.

Start Up Loan and 12 Months Mentoring

This loan is offered by British Business Bank and is for business taking the first steps or been trading for a while and want to grow. 

The scheme can offer a loan of up to £25,000 and free mentoring for 12 months.

Business Innovation Vouchers

This grant is for 75% funding towards researching projects costing up to £20,000.

Businesses can use the Business Innovation Voucher worth up to £15,000 to access leading experts and research facilities in Kent and Medway.
