Incentive payments for hiring a new apprentice
The government will offer employers in England an incentive payment for hiring an apprentice between 1 August 2021 and 30 September 2021. This is to help businesses offer new apprenticeships to new employees.
The incentive payments are:
- £3,000 for each new apprentice they hire, regardless of age
- and a further £1,000 for each new apprentice between 16 and 18, or those under 25 with an education, health and care plan (EHCP).
