How to apply
This scheme is open to:
- private tenants
- home owners.
To be eligible for this scheme, you must:
- be living in an existing home
- have an annual household income of less than £36,000 a year or receive income related means tested benefits such as Universal Credit
- have an energy performance certificate (EPC) rating between band D and G
- not use gas for heating in the home
- get approval from the landlord if you're renting in the private sector.
New builds or self-built homes that have not been previously occupied are not eligible.
EPC ratings
If you're unsure if you have an EPC rating or what your EPC rating is, you can check existing EPC ratings.
If you do not have an EPC certificate, you'll be helped with this part of the assessment. Once completed you'll receive a free EPC certificate.
Express your interest in the scheme
To express your interest in this scheme, you need to use The Greater South East Net Zero Hub's online form.
You'll need to:
- share your personal details, including name, address and contact information
- share how your home is currently heated
- tell us the type of home you live in
- tell us if you're total annual income is less than £31,000 or you receive means tested benefits.
The scheme is available until March 2025.
