There is just over one week left to review Medway's final draft of its Local Plan and comment on its legal compliance and soundness, against national planning policy.

The consultation closes at 11.59pm on Monday, 11 August.

You can have your say online through our consultation portal, or by submitting your comments by email to Planning.Policy@Medway.gov.uk or by post to: Planning Service, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TR.

If submitting comments by post or email, we would encourage you to either complete the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) Model Representation Form available on our website, or use it as a guide to help structure your responses to ensure they are clear for the Planning Inspectorate.

If you have any questions or need help with making your comments, you can contact our planning team on 01634 331 629 and Planning.Policy@Medway.gov.uk.

Following the consultation, the plan and accompanying documents will then be submitted to the Secretary of State following, as part of Regulation 19. It is anticipated, following central Government-led examination, Medway’s Local Plan will be adopted by December 2026.
