Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptom-free testing | Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptom-free testing | Medway Council

Help stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Medway. Symptom-free testing continues to be available for everyone.

Anyone who lives or works in Medway can book a COVID-19 symptom-free test. This is especially important if you’re leaving your home regularly and in contact with others.

With national restrictions easing, we're adapting our symptom-free testing programme to help us provide lots of ways to get tested in our local communities. This helps us to quickly detect new infections and stop the spread of the virus in Medway.

It's never been easier to get tested.

Changes to our test centres

The testing centres at Medway Park in Gillingham and Rochester Cathedral are now closed.

Chattenden Community Centre and The Oast in Rainham will continue to remain open seven days a week, 9am to 7pm.

The Deep End testing centre in Chatham will have limited opening hours only.

A new testing centre at MidKent College will open on Thursday 8 April. This centre will be open from 9am to 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. It will be available to anyone who lives or works in Medway.

You must book online for Chattenden, Rainham, Chatham and MidKent College testing centres.

Booking slots are available on a first come, first served basis. If you do not book, you cannot enter.

About symptom-free testing

Through this new type of testing we aim to identify people who do not have COVID-19 symptoms but who are infectious and could spread the virus to others unknowingly. This will provide a more accurate picture of cases in Medway and will help reduce the spread of the virus locally.
