About the Household Support Fund
The Household Support Fund provides support to vulnerable Medway households.
The scheme aims to help those most in need through crisis support towards the cost of essentials.
Funded by the UK government, it runs until the end of March 2026.
Crisis support
The fund can be used for:
- food and home essentials
- school uniforms
- energy
- water
- essentials linked to energy and water
- housing costs in exceptional circumstances, but not mortgages.
The fund is available to everyone who lives in Medway, including those who are not currently receiving benefits.

The scheme is administered to a fixed budget. The terms of the scheme could change during the year.
Our Household Support Fund scheme does not require banking details to administer support. We will never request this information over the telephone.
