The Cuxton site will be kept closed in the early phase of reopening due to the high demand we’re expecting.

Please follow government advice on waste disposal if you are staying at home due to coronavirus.

Opening times

From 15 May the site will re-open.You'll only be able to visit the site if you've booked in advance.

When you book you'll be able to choose from these slots:

  • 10am to 2pm
  • 3pm to 7pm

Vehicle access

Your vehicle must fit under the height barrier of 2 metres.

Check the list of permitted vehicles

You can access the site using:

  • a privately-owned car
  • a small, privately-owned van (by appointment only)

Vehicles not permitted

Vehicles may be turned away from the centre if they: 

  • are business or commercial vehicles, such as transit vans or open-back vans 
  • are sign written (apart from taxis)

Cars with trailers will be turned away if they:

  • are longer than 6 feet 8 inches
  • are wider than the towing car
  • hold more than 35 cubic feet

Your small van will be turned away if:

  • you have not booked to come to the site
  • it is towing a trailer
  • the van and its contents weigh more than 2 tonnes
