You can use a small, privately-owned vehicle to take household waste to our recycling centre. Vans are not permitted.

You can book to take a small, privately-owned van to Capstone recycling centre.
- Vehicles not permitted

Vehicles will be turned away from the centre if they:
- are business or commercial vehicles, such as transit vans or open-back vans
- do not fit under the height barrier (2 metres)
- are sign written (apart from taxis)
- are vans with a gross laden weight of more than 2 tonnes (this is usually listed in the owner's manual and shown on a plate or sticker on the vehicle)
All vans towing trailers will be turned away.
Cars with trailers will be turned away if they are:
- longer than 6 feet 8 inches
- more than 35 cubic feet
- wider than the towing car
