Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates

We are currently looking at ways to host the course safely during the current restrictions. 

We annually host an accredited training course for people who are interested in pursuing a career in interpreting and are proficient in English and another language.

Gain a qualification in community interpreting

Attend a course with Medway Adult Education and use your ability to speak 2 languages to gain a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification in community interpreting.

Level 3 Essential Skills in Community Interpreting

This course is for people who:

  • would like to develop their interpreting skills to train as professional interpreters and gain employment
  • are interested in improving the quality of their work, voluntary or otherwise.

The course will focus on:

  • interpreting skills
  • the role of the interpreter and the issues this raises
  • agency knowledge including education, housing and health issues.
