Consumer complaints

You can send a complaint by emailing consumer.protection@medway.gov.uk if you are concerned that a shop:

  • is not selling the full weight of a product as advertised on the package
  • has sold you a product  that does not meet current safety regulations.

Mailing Preference Service (MPS)

MPS is a free service that helps stop unwanted mail from companies by removing your details from marketing lists.

MPS helps you avoid:

  • UK marketing mail
  • irrelevant post and junk mail
  • wasteful paper.

MPS will not stop:

  • overseas mail
  • leaflets such as 'To the Occupier'
  • mail from companies you've recently used.

Telephone preference service (TPS)

TPS is a free service to help you opt out of live sales and marketing calls. 

TPS blocks:

  • live sale calls from UK companies
  • calls to mobiles and landlines.

TPS cannot block:

  • robocalls (recorded messages)
  • overseas calls
  • calls from companies you've recently dealt with.
