The Medway20 celebrations were launched at the English Festival on 21 April. The festival was held at Riverside Country Park in Rainham and celebrated St George’s Day.
A TV studio was set up at the festival and people of all ages spoke with host, Jonny Meah from Heart Radio, to share their memories of Medway’s achievements over the past two decades.
Some of the memories included:
- When Medway comes together you have such a sense of community
- The council provide lots of health walks and cycle groups to encourage people to get fit and active
- We’re one big community and it’s lovely
- It’s fantastic to see the investment – it feels positive now
- My children have got everything they could possibly need in Medway
