When you visit Medway Register Office
The register office will check and make copies of your documents. They'll then let you know if they can complete the re-registration there or if it needs to be referred to the General Register Office.
If the re-registration can be done at Medway, they'll ask you to come to an appointment within 5 working days.
If the re-registration needs to be done by the General Register Office, it can take up to 25 days for them to authorise the re-registration. The General Register Office may email you to let you know it has been authorised.
If it's authorised, Medway Register Office will ask you to come to an appointment to complete the re-registration.
