Car parks no longer accepting cash

The following car parks no longer accept cash:

Cashless car parking

Motorists using pay and display car parks and paid on-street bays across Medway can use cashless parking provided by RingGo.

This option has an additional convenience fee of 10p per transaction.

Optional expiry reminders or booking confirmations via SMS are charged at 15p each.

In most locations, you can still pay by cash if you prefer.

RingGo is not available in the Brook Multi-Storey car park in Chatham.

RingGo will no longer be available at some car parks in Rochester

From Sunday 4 January 2026, RingGo will no longer be available at the following Rochester car parks:

RingGo Refunds

RingGo manage parking payments, and the refund information on their website does not reflect our policies.

We’re only able to refund duplicate parking payments if a fault is found on parking equipment or the RingGo application at the time the payment was made.

You can request a refund by emailing parkingenforcement@medway.gov.uk.

Please include:

  • your vehicle registration
  • the parking location
  • the date and time of your visit
  • the amount paid
  • proof of both payments
  • your reason for requesting a refund.

We aim to respond in 5 working days.

If you’ve selected the wrong vehicle registration

If you have selected the wrong vehicle registration you can change this on the RingGo app up to 15 minutes after making your selection.

After this time a new session for the correct registration will need to be purchased.

We’re unable to refund the incorrect payment for the wrong vehicle registration.

If you’ve selected the wrong location

RingGo do not permit changing locations if an incorrect one has been selected once the parking session has been started.

If you’ve selected the wrong location, RingGo will ask you to start a new session for the correct location.
