If you feel a family is in need of intensive early help intervention you can request this using our online form.
Report a child safeguarding concern
If you have concerns about a child or young person and think they may need help, you can report it to us online.
You’ll need to complete one form for each family.
To receive a copy of your report you’ll need to provide an email address.
If you make an error when you fill in the forms, or you need to change any of the details you’ve given us, please phone us on 01634 334 466.

If you think the child is at immediate risk of harm phone us straightaway:

What happens after your report or referral
Your report or referral will be received by the First Response Service, which includes the following teams:
- the Single Point of Access (SPA) Team
- the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)
- the assessment teams needed to support and intervene in children’s care.
They will review your report, then decide what to do next. The information is then passed onto the right people who’ll decide what intervention is needed.
You’ll receive a copy of your report or referral to the secure email address you provided when completing the form.
Professionals will receive a letter with the outcome of our decision within 5 working days.
