If you're unable to leave your home or care for someone who is unable to leave their home, we provide a home library service.

The home library service is for those who are unable to visit their local library due to:

  • age related issues
  • disability
  • ill health or injury
  • carer responsibilities.

How it works

The home library service is free of charge.

Once you've applied, we'll arrange a call to discuss what types of library items you'd like to borrow.

Items we deliver include:

  • ordinary print books
  • large print books
  • audiobooks on CD
  • jigsaw puzzles.

A volunteer will deliver and collect items to your doorstep.

Items are usually delivered and collected at least once every 4 weeks.

How to apply

You can apply online or by phoning 01634 337 799.
