Pool types at Strood Sports Centre
Strood Sports Centre has a:
Main pool
A 25m pool with 8 lanes, and a depth ranging from 1m to 2m, which is 1.5m in the middle of the pool. Suitable for casual swimming, fitness, swim galas and lessons.
Teaching pool
A 12m x 7m with a depth gradual increase to 1m. Suitable for parent and baby, parent and toddler and swimming lessons.
Hydrotherapy pool
warm water pool 9m x 5m with a maximum depth of 1.5m. The pool is available for organised groups, mainly disabled groups, by arrangement with the Centre Management, or public sessions specifically organised by the centre.
