All facilities at The Strand park
Facilities include:
- exciting splash pad (opening hours match the lido)
- a cafe serving hot and cold food, ice cream and treats (this is not run by the council)
- miniature train ride (this is operated by the cafe, please check with cafe staff on site for more information)
- a PlayZone with availability for basketball, football, netball, cricket and pickleball
- 4 tennis courts
- an outdoor table tennis table (please bring your own paddles and balls. These are also available to hire during opening hours)
- outdoor gym
- riverside walks
- 2 children's play areas
- new picnic area
- open greenspaces
- parkour area
- public toilets
- access to the pebbled beach area (tidal times will reduce this)
- onsite car parking (pay and display is in operation at this site).
The Strand is also the home to Medway Junior parkrun.
The Strand Lido Pool
The Strand Lido Pool will open Saturday 23 May 2026 for weekends only until the school summer holidays, where it will be open daily.
The season closes at the end of the school summer holidays (Medway school holiday dates).
