All facilities at The Strand park
Facilities include:
- a cafe serving hot and cold food, ice cream and treats (this is not run by the council)
- mini train ride (this is operated by the cafe, please check with cafe staff on site for more information)
- outdoor gym
- riverside walks
- 2 children's play areas
- park lands
- parkour arena
- free use of outdoor tennis courts (need to bring your own equipment and the nets are provided in the summer season)
- public toilets
- access to the pebbled beach area (tidal times will reduce this)
- pay and display parking onsite.
The Strand is also the home to Medway Junior parkrun.
The Strand Lido Pool
The Strand lido pool will open Saturday 25 May 2024 for the bank holiday weekend and school half term week.
After this, it will be open every weekend until the school summer holidays, where it will be open every day.
The season closes with the last session on Sunday 1 September 2024.
