Apply for additional funding for previously successful PFG grants
If your business has previously received a £1,000 PFG grant before May 2025, you may apply for an additional £1,000.

Top up funding is available to businesses that can demonstrate measurable growth, specifically through an increase in staff number.
The purpose of this additional funding is to support businesses that have used their original grant to successfully grow and are now looking to improve on that.
What additional funding can be used for
The addition £1,000 can be used for:
- recruitment costs for a new role
- equipment or systems needed to support increased output or service delivery
- upskilling staff to support business expansion.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scheme, the business must:
- be in Medway
- be an SME
- have submitted a successful application before May 2025 and received the grant
- adhere to De Minimis State Aid (financial aid from the government)
- have a business bank account
- have successfully implemented your proposal from your previous application and provide evidence of this in your application
- show how to additional funding will continue to support your business growth
- provide evidence of growth in staffing.
Evidence for your application
In your application, you may need to include:
- payroll and PAYE records showing increased staffing
- evidence of costs associated with staff increase
- financial records showing increased turnover or profit
- contracts or sales reports indicating increased customer demand
- infrastructure improvements that increase capacity.
Apply
To apply for additional funding you'll need to:
- tell us how much funding you received
- tell us how you used the grant
- include pictures and evidence. If you cannot provide pictures and evidence, you should tell us why
- attach your latest business bank statements.

What happens after
We may contact you if you do not provide enough information in your application.
We'll aim to process your application within 60 days and contact you about the outcome.
