  • Wednesday - closed
  • Thursday - 9am to 5pm
  • Friday - 9am to 5pm
  • Saturday: 9am to 12.30pm 
  • Sunday - closed.

Medway Archives Centre is closed on bank holidays.

Travel and parking 

Parking

There is a small free car park at the front of the building for users of Medway Archives Centre and Strood Community Hall. There is designated parking for Blue Badge holders. There is also usually on-road parking on Bryant Road and some 2-hour spaces in adjacent Glanville Road.

Public transport

Medway Archives Centre is a 15-minute walk from Strood Railway Station. The nearest bus stops are on the High Street, Commercial Road, and North Street. Further details of bus services to Strood, including timetables, can be found on Medway Council’s travel pages. Please follow current government guidelines when using public transport.

Accessibility

We aim to make our facilities as fully accessible as possible.  

Medway Archives Centre has:  

  • designated parking for Blue Badge holders  
  • Ramped access to the Centre entrance. All services are on the ground floor.  
  • Disabled toilet 
  • Variable height desk 

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.
