I am proud to be the Director of People at Medway. We have been on a significant journey of improvement since Ofsted’s initial inspection in 2019 and I am delighted that following our final inspection in July 2023, we have been rated 'Good'.
Ofsted recognised that Medway has a strong, determined and cohesive leadership team, a well managed ‘front-door’ and early help service and provide good care and support for children in care and care leavers.
I am also proud that Ofsted highlighted the council’s Children-friendly Medway programme.
Medway continues to put children at the centre of everything we do and I know that our staff will continue to build on the great work that has been done so far to improve the services for our children and families across Medway.
